WHAT TO EXPECT

Showing up to a church for the first time can be intimidating so we have put this page together to help answer any questions you may have before you arrive.

We recognize that God is already speaking into the lives of every man, woman, and child, wooing them toward himself. Our task is to find ways to join that conversation with grace, compassion, and respect. Following Jesus is more experience than belief. We will seek to develop relationships with others and pursue Jesus alongside them, because Jesus Christ is the only hope this world has ever known.

FAQs

  • Our worship sets are typically upbeat and contemporary and sometimes we have been known to get a little loud and the teaching style is story based that revolves around scripture.

  • We suggest you showing up 10 minutes before service. You can visit our Coffee area where we serve coffee shop style drinks and give you plenty of time to check in your kids up to 5th grade in our kids ministry area. Plus you will be able to find your seat before the lights dim.

  • When arriving at church, you can head down to our Kids' Ministry (Summit Kids 1 year-5th grade) wing to our secure Check-In station to register your family. A friendly volunteer will be there to help you and show you around! Children will receive a printed name tag, and parents will receive a corresponding tag unique to their child. This ensures a safe checkout policy. Children aged 1 to 5 years old will be dropped off in their classrooms in the kids' wing, where they will be greeted by friendly and caring teachers. Kids in grades 1 to 5 will gather in our "Student Center" for a unique singing and Bible story time together. Then they will go to their classrooms where they will continue to learn about Jesus through activities and lessons designed just for their age group.   • Yes. Inside the Sanctuary Lobby you can go to our Welcome Center right inside the doors. There you can let one of our volunteers know you are new and they can answer any questions you may have and show you where the Kids Ministry wing is and any other areas to get you familiar with our building.

  • On the South side of our building (side closest to Bryant St) there is a large parking lot. This lot will give you the closest access to the Sanctuary lobby doors. If you are going to our Skyrocket Campus (Prescott) Click here for more detailed information

  • Wear whatever you are comfortable in. We are fairly casual here.
