Operation Advent is where we as a community come together to help out a specific organization. Through the consumerization of Christmas we have been taught that we need more and it is all about us. Jesus tells us “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ So this Advent season join us in the challenge to spend a tad less on ourselves and more on those who have little.

This year we are working with a great local organization. Blue Mountain Action Council Helps those struggling with poverty. Our partnership this year will be specifically helping those who are homeless. The mission of BMAC’s homeless assistance department is to create a community where everyone can find safe and affordable housing. We as a church will be accepting donations of cold weather items like: Coats, Sleeping Bags, Winter Hats, Gloves, Hand Warmers. Please don’t hold clothing donations until Christmas Eve, since the weather is already cold we will be giving items to BMAC as we receive them.
